The beginning of the “vom strahlenden Sternchen” kennel was in 1992, in Oberlauterbach in eastern Germany. It was a small hobby kennel breeding harlequin dwarf poodles. A little later, black dwarf poodles were added. At this time, Kerstin didn`t give a single thougt to standard poodles. In this time our friendship started. We met because of the harlequin dogs “Flory von der Ebernburg” and “Quincy von den bunten Osterwiesen” from Marion`s father. Result was our Kennel co-operative.

The black ones are the love of Kerstin`s life and the white are Marion`s special favourites. Silver we love both.

We have been breeding very elegant black and white standard poodles since 1997 and silver since 2002.

In the year 2003 we come to a decision to breed only white and silver in the future.

In 2005 we started with our first Black and Tan Dwarf Poodle.

But after 2 years we saw it isn´t the right colour to complete our Kennel. Black and tan is a colour you only can show national in Germany, it isn´t allowed in FCI. We show our Standard Poodles international mostly and so we searched for shows in Germany to show the black and tan Poodles. After long time thinking of what is right we said goodbye to the black and tan Poodles in April 2008.

In Spring 2008 a lovely little silver Dwarf Poodle female has been “landed” in our Kennel. This little girl came to us after an odyssee and will stay in our Kennel the rest of her life. Silver Dwarf is perfect colour to silver Standard, and so we got at the end of May 2008 a silver Dwarf Poodle girl from Kennel Dorian Gray .

We live in an alone standing house with a big garden in Lautersheim in the Donnersbergkreis district in the Pfalz (Rheinland Pfalz). Lautersheim located between Mannheim and Kaiserslautern, near Grünstadt. The famous Deutsche Weinstrasse (Wine Route) and the forests of Rheinland Pfalz, the Natural Park Pfälzer Wald are just around the corner.
